Bareilly: A workshop was organized in Vikas Bhawan Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar regarding Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan. All ADO Panchayat, Gram Pradhan, Safai Karamchari, Panchayat Sahayak were present in the workshop.
On this occasion, the District Magistrate while explaining the importance of cleanliness said that cases of malaria etc. were found in some villages of the district like Gohana, Charna Muradpur, Haldi Kala, Parchai etc. but when work was done by paying special attention to the cleanliness system, the number of malaria cases came down to 10. If all of you also do the work of cleaning through public participation, then this figure will become zero.
It was told in the workshop that only one sanitation worker cannot clean the whole village, there is a need for maximum public participation in this. If people are made aware and every person cleans the area around his house within a radius of 50 meters, then the entire village will become clean and whoever does a very good job in this direction should also be honored by the village head.
In the said time period, get the community toilets, waterlogging, bushes etc. cleaned as well. If your environment remains clean and tidy, then your children and family will also remain healthy. For this, all ADO Panchayats were instructed to conduct a workshop at the block level.
The Chief Development Officer said in his address that the Swachhata Hi Seva program is going to run for the next 15 days, in which our aim is to conduct various activities at the village level and try to get public participation in it. He said that on the Seva Portal, ADO Panchayat etc. CTU (Cleanliness Target Unit) should identify the dirty places and upload the photo on the portal, after that upload the photo on the portal after cleaning as well. He said that it is expected from all of you that whatever activities are done under this, maximum number of people should participate in it and maximum number of people should be connected to it.
The Chief Medical Officer explained the methods of washing hands through Suman. He said that hands should always be dried in the air and not wiped with a towel. The Chief Medical Officer explained the method of fogging and spraying insecticide. He said that under the campaign, work like starting of rally from health centers, cleaning of wards of patients, making patients coming to OPD aware, cleaning of hospitals etc. will be done.
The Basic Education Officer said that from 17th to 2nd October, various activities will be organized in schools which will include oath taking, one tree in the name of mother, organizing rallies, organizing various competitions related to cleanliness, behavior change through prayer meetings. The District Panchayati Raj Officer said that the objective of this workshop is to make the villages clean. He said that the dirtiest places should be identified village-wise on the Swachhata Seva Portal and their photos should be uploaded on the Seva Portal and after cleaning, the photos of the same place should be uploaded.
Project Director DRDA, District Development Officer, District School Inspector, Additional Municipal Commissioner along with related officers and ADO Panchayat, Village Head, Safai Karamchari, Panchayat Assistants were present in the program.
